When I was 14, I saw a sunset that amazed me. I wanted to capture the majesty of that moment to look back on. Two years later, my parents gave me my first 35mm SLR, and a year after that I bought my first Nikon. In high school, I learned that my passion in photography is recording moments, preserving memories, and marking history. I was a photojournalist through college and beyond.
Now that I have two of the best boys in the world, I want to record those family and childhood moments for my wife and me. I want to hold on to those precious instants that mark their memories forever, so in 30 or 40 years, they can see the images and recall every detail.
I want to preserve those same moments for other parents and families. I want others to know the same joy I feel when I see my children smiling and playing. I want each of those moments to last forever. I can have that through my photography.
